Jesus gave His life for us. God gives us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives love, joy, peace and so many other things. As followers of Jesus, we desire to be radically generous in our lives.
Locally.
We believe in making a difference in our neighborhood. Friendship supports ministries throughout the area to include Baltimore Rescue Mission and Project Echo. We participate in local home-fixing projects throughout Southern Maryland. And we also established LifeWorks of Southern MD, a non-profit that provides housing for under-employed men and is currently looking to provide transportation for the elderly in the community. We provide a needy-neighbor fund where we assist with electric bills, rent, and food money as needed as we partner with other community organizations.
Abroad.
Over 20% of annual budgeted funds at Friendship go to support the work of several workers and causes abroad. We sponsor missionaries in Nepal, Peru and England. We also send thousands of Gospel Opportunity boxes around the world through Operation Christmas Child (at a total investment of over $80,000 annually). We send teams on annual mission trips and partner with the Southern Baptist Convention to support even more world-wide discipleship and church planting efforts.
