Preparing for the Resurrection

Resurrection Sunday (Easter) is less than two weeks away! We are excited about this opportunity to celebrate the living hope we have through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Accordingly, let me draw your attention to 3 things regarding this Easter.

First, Invite your friends. This is the best week to invite the people on your prayer list. Give them the invitation with a plate of cookies or at least drop it in the mail. Post a Facebook invite on their wall. As you pray for opportunities, God will open the door to invite people to hear the good news of Jesus Christ. On Monday I invited the dental staff at my dentist and the school staff where I mentor. God opens so many opportunities if we are prayerfully ready!

Second, Volunteer to serve on Easter Sunday. We need four more hosts at both the 9:00 and 10:30 services. We also need about 10 people who can help with the egg hunt after the second service. Email me or Mark today so we can get you on those lists. It looks like we have the Sunrise service and coffee bar needs covered. Thanks for stepping up for those things!

Third, Pray God will be glorified. We can invite and serve, but only the Holy Spirit can make anything happen. We will be having a drop-in prayer time on Good Friday (Apr 14) from 9:00am-9:00pm in the church sanctuary. We will have self-guided prayer stations where you can come confess sin, take delight in the forgiveness of the cross, and pray for those who do not know the Lord Jesus as Savior. I hope all of you will come (and bring your family if you can) at some point on Good Friday. Let us pray in earnest expectation of God’s powerful work. The God who raised Christ from the dead will draw people to Himself.

Inviting, serving, and praying with you,

Pastor Robert
